Celebrating 50 Years

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Ulverston Auction Mart Site. On the 8th May 2012 we will be holding a 50 year special celebration show and sale of Primestock, Store Cattle and Dairy Cattle. All Class winners will receive Â£50 and a Special 50 Year Rossette.

Sheep Ballot Due to the new EID system it is taking longer to process sheep therefore we would appreciate customers forwarding their stock as early as possible. As of Tuesday 22nd June 2010 the ballot will be drawn at 9.45am.

Is EID to be delayed and reviewed?

A. No. The new Regulations came into force on 31/12/2009. While Defra will support any proposals from the EU Commission to review them to reduce the burden on keepers (and the risk of SFP deductions through inadvertent non compliance) there is no immediate prospect of that happening. Keepers must therefore identify their sheep (and goats) and record /report their movements in accordance with the new

Please ensure all FCI declarations on entry forms are signed and dated to comply with new legislation implemented on 1st January 2010. Please be aware that stock cannot be sold without this signature.
